e-mail when new promotion comes out. I think I belong to every facebook page imaginable and I save time by having the coupons come to me rather than hunting for them, a big time saver.

Last Week's Savings for the Dream Maker
I had a great week! I saved so much money, I have to brag about it. Here's a snippet of some of the savings I enjoyed last week.
* Free Quart of paint from Benjamin Moore (6 qts free)
* Free 5 pack of Sharpie Accent Highlighters (6 pkgs)
* Walgreens - Retail $40.93, I paid $10.53
* CVS- Retail $274.03, I paid $31.36
The Retail price of all these items were either buy one get one free or sale price.
The total price at the register was $385.12 and I paid $41.89 with all my coupons, using my Loyalty cards, earned care bucks (ECB-CVS) and Register Rewards (RR-Walgreens). Overall, I paid 13% of marked price. So what did I get for my money?
* 6 Dawn (10 oz.), 4 SchickV and 4 Gillette Fuzion Razors, 12 Gatorade, 8 John Frieda Shampoos (12 oz), 6 bayer (24 ct), 18 Motrin (20 ct), 6 Zyrtec (5 ct), 6 Colgate toothpastes, 2 toothbrushes, 6 Renuzit Air freshners, 6-24 pk Pepsi, 5 tic tacs (filler item), 6 quarts of paint, 6-5pk Sharpie Highlighters and more. I don't think you really want my grocery list. You get the idea.
You may say, I don't need 18 packages of Motrin! Well, would you rather stockpile them and pay approx. 29 cents a box ($5.22) or go when you need them and pay $8.99 ($160.82). In the long run by stockpiling items when they are on sale and you have coupons, will save hundreds of $$$ during the year. Items go on sale at different times during the year, that is when you want to stockpile to realize an yearly savings, just like everyone does at the "After Christmas Sales". The trick to my savings is that I buy only when an item is on sale and use a coupon (or 2). I try to double that with purchasing items that give me ECs and RRs. I never pay retail.
A few other things to remember: WinnDixie gives you $$$ off gas at Shell and discounts every purchase with their Loyalty Card. I recently filled up my gas with 25 cents off each gallon. We could all use that kind of savings. Get your CVS, Walgreens and any store loyalty cards you can get; they save you a ton of money.

Moving into my New Digs
Whew! What a day. I've been really busy trying to launch a new internet business and get my 2 blogs up and running. It looks so easy, actually it is, just time consuming getting your design and layout the way you want it. I'll be sooooo happy when all I have to do is write and not deal with all the developer stuff. It's been a long time since I've had to write computer code (HTML). Enough of my belly-aching.
I'm kinda behind the eight-ball here! I intend to get all the previews for savings out on Saturday nights so your ready for your Sunday coupons. I will also periodically post great opportunities as I find them in my own shopping excursions. Sometimes, there are unadvertised specials that can be combined with coupons for great deals, including freebies, and in some cases MONEY BACK on your purchase. I'll explain this on my next post.
